Selby Foundation’s Last Donation for 2024: Supporting Students at Jachie-Pramso TI Ahamadyia School

As the year 2024 draws to a close, the Selby Foundation’s final donation has once again made a significant impact in the lives of young students. This time, the foundation donated sanitary pads to the students of Jachie-Pramso TI Ahamadyia School in the Ashanti Region, a gesture that is both timely and essential for promoting menstrual hygiene.

The donation is part of the foundation’s ongoing efforts to address the issue of menstrual hygiene among schoolgirls, particularly in underserved communities. Many young girls often miss school due to a lack of proper menstrual hygiene products, which hinders their education and overall well-being. With this donation, Selby Foundation is helping to ensure that these girls stay in school and maintain their dignity during their menstrual cycle.

The project was made possible through the support of various groups, including health advocates and community partners, who understand the importance of menstrual hygiene in ensuring that girls continue their education without unnecessary barriers. This collective effort highlights the power of collaboration in addressing challenges faced by students in rural and underserved areas.

At the forefront of this impactful initiative was our Executive Director, Bernice Selby Akuffo Addo, who led the donation campaign. Her dedication to improving the lives of young girls and women is at the heart of the foundation’s mission. Under her leadership, Selby Foundation continues to empower communities through vital support initiatives, such as the distribution of sanitary pads and education on menstrual health.

The donation was received with great enthusiasm by the students and teachers at Jachie-Pramso TI Ahamadyia School. With these pads, many girls now have access to the essential resources they need to stay in school, stay healthy, and build a brighter future.

This donation marks a wonderful milestone for the Selby Foundation as it continues its mission of supporting vulnerable communities, particularly in the areas of education and health. As we reflect on the success of this year’s projects, we are reminded that every contribution—no matter how small—can make a difference.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the partners, health advocates, and supporters who made this project a reality. Your commitment to helping young girls thrive in their education is truly inspiring, and we look forward to continued collaborations in the coming year.

As we move into 2025, the Selby Foundation remains committed to making a positive impact, one donation at a time. Together, we can empower future generations for a better tomorrow.
