On Friday, October 24, 2025, the Selby Foundation Network continued its mission to support menstrual hygiene and empower young girls through its flagship initiative on the OhemaaBa Pad Project.

Led by Bernice Selby, Director of the OhemaaBa Pad Project, the team visited Sedziman Academy in Atadeka, Ashaiman, to donate 120 sanitary pads to girls from Class 5 to JHS 3. The event was filled with joy, gratitude, and powerful conversations about menstrual hygiene and confidence building among young girls.

Bernice Selby emphasized that the donation is part of the Foundation’s broader commitment to ensuring that no girl misses school due to lack of sanitary products. She also highlighted the importance of open dialogue on menstrual health, encouraging both teachers and students to continue breaking the stigma surrounding menstruation.

The headteacher and staff of Sedziman Academy expressed deep appreciation to the Selby Foundation Network for the timely support, noting the positive impact it will have on the students’ well-being and school attendance.

The OhemaaBa Pad Project continues to reach underserved schools and communities across Ghana, providing menstrual products, hygiene education, and advocacy for girls’ health and dignity.
